PhD in Phonetics and Speech Science

Temporary Teaching and Research Associate (ATER)
Sorbonne Nouvelle University (Paris, France)

I completed my PhD in 2023 at the Phonetics and Phonology Laboratory (LPP, CNRS/Sorbonne Nouvelle), under the supervision of Cécile Fougeron and Leonardo Lancia. Following my PhD, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher: first for one year within the PASDCODE project (Prosody AS a Dynamic COordinative DEvice) at LPP, and then for about six months within the DIPVAR project (DIgital investigation of Phonetic VARiation: large-scale multilingual modeling of lenition and fortition) at Lille University.

My Publications My CV My Teaching

My research focuses on the temporal aspects of speech production and control. I currently pursue two main lines of research in parallel:

Language-specific prosody and speech rhythm – investigating how prosodic patterns shape the emergence of speech rhythm and constrain motor control during speech production. This line of research began during my PhD and continued into my first postdoc.
Morphology, orthography, and consonant duration (in French) – exploring how linguistic structure influences consonant lengthening, which has been the central focus of my second postdoc.

I use both laboratory experimentation and large corpora of spontaneous speech in my research.
